Synopsis
In Estonia, three Ukrainian girls fight a war that didn’t end at the border. For 11-year-old Masha, the war is a living ghost; she is a prisoner of a disappearing past, caught between a lost home and a terrifying future. For 13-year-old Sasha, Estonia is a clean slate where she attempts the impossible: moving on without betraying those left behind. Meanwhile, 14-year-old Iryna finds herself trapped by a rigid system, forced into a Russian-speaking school while facing high-stakes Estonian exams. Their stories reveal a devastating reality: starting a life in a new country doesn’t always mean it has a place for you.
